Evan Dorkin is taking a break from comic books

Author/artist Evan Dorkin has announced via Twitter that he's taking a break from comic books. The Milk & Cheese Creator says this decision comes as he began "rethinking things as an aging old-timer." (Evan is 56.)

"I had a WFH writing gig merely left it (amicably) ended the NFT component of it. Which sucked, only, you do what you do," Dorkin tweets. "I'm drawing clobber for some rattling cool non-comics. And you never know when a comic throw waterfall in your lap (Marvels Snapshots, Bill & Ted Are Unlucky)."

Dorkin and Benjamin Dewey's recent Beasts of Burden: Occupied Territory limited serial publication will follow his in conclusion mirthful book "awhile," although helium says atomic number 2 has ideas for fin additional Beasts of Burden ace-shots.

Dorkin says he'll Be concentrating on the same non-comics work, his Patreon, commissions, and prowess sales.

"My realness is that I'm non a fast sufficiency writer to turn out multiple monthlies the way some folks give the sack, I'm not a huge 'acquire', I've possibly burned a some Bridges (they didn't go anyplace I wanted to be), and it's a big industry that doesn't ask anyone in particular to embody present," Dorkin tweets.

Evan Dorkin is best identified for his comedy series Milk & Cheese and his spooky trail serial publication Beasts of Burden (co-created with Jill Thompson). In increase to those two franchises, Dorkin has drawn numerous comedy comics strips, written and drew a cult-favorite Bill & Ted comic series, and was a writer along the seminal animated series Space Ghost Glide to Coast.
